Kaleb McLaurin
Farm Manager
Kaleb joined the Ryans Turf team in 2024 after many years of Reggie asking him to come on board. He brings fresh ideas, strong leadership skills, and extensive industry experience to the farm. With a background in greenkeeping and landscaping, Kaleb has exceptional knowledge in diagnosing and treating turf and lawn issues, making him a tremendous asset to both the team and our customers.
Prior to joining Ryans Turf, Kaleb managed a large team installing pools for Narellan Pools before launching his own successful business, Illawarra Turf Restorations. As a long-time Ryans Turf customer himself, we were thrilled to eventually convince him to officially join the team.
Since stepping into the Farm Manager role, Kaleb has focused much of his time on implementing new systems and processes to improve workplace safety, strengthen team structure, and produce the highest quality turf available. He is always on the lookout for new turf varieties that suit our coastal conditions while also meeting the evolving needs of our customers.

Kaleb is passionate about expanding the business through safe work practices, enhanced crop production, and strong team leadership. He has an extremely bright future with Ryans Turf and is committed to helping drive the company’s continued growth and success.
Jacqui Ryan
Sales & Customer Service
Jacqui, a Ryan herself, grew up on the farm and has seen it evolve over her lifetime. Originally her parents’ successful dairy farm, the property transitioned to turf in 1995 and operated as such for 26 years. When Reggie took over the farm in 2017, Jacqui was by his side — and has been ever since. Growing up on the property, she has a deep connection to the farm and a genuine love for its ecological infrastructure.

With a background in Animal Welfare through the RSPCA and experience as a qualified vet nurse, Jacqui brings a strong understanding of balance in farming and the importance of protecting wildlife and the natural environment.
Jacqui plays a key role in sales, advertising, scheduling delivery vehicles, and customer service. Her excellent product knowledge, friendly approach, and willingness to help, make her a valued point of contact for customers.
For Jacqui, the farm isn’t just a workplace — it’s her passion.

Peta Davey
Accounts & Sales
Peta joined Ryans Turf in 2020, bringing with her a strong background in business ownership, sales, and bookkeeping. Self-employed since 2002, she has worked across the boating, water sports, and motocross industries before transitioning into Landscape Supplies in 2014 as a partner at BVN Landscape Supplies. There, she operated machinery, managed sales & coordinated truck runs, servicing Shoalhaven-based businesses and homeowners. She also managed the company’s bookkeeping.

Since joining Reggie at Ryans Turf, Peta initially stepped into a sales role, which has naturally evolved into overseeing accounts payable and receivable, bookkeeping, and contributing to the company’s financial decision-making. Her attention to detail, strong work ethic, and service-focused approach make her a valued part of the team.
Peta loves getting the job done and is passionate about supporting customers while helping the business grow and adapting to its needs.
Jess Davey
Sales & Marketing
Jess joined the Ryans Turf team at the end of 2025, initially just helping in the office during a visit back to the mainland. It didn’t take long for Jess to fall in love with life on the farm — and for the farm to fall in love with her! After managing an air conditioning warehouse in Tasmania, she made the move back home in early 2026 to begin her new chapter with Ryans Turf.
Jess brings a strong administrative background, along with hands-on experience operating machinery in landscape supplies yards. She also worked with Roadworx, where she gained her traffic control ticket, further broadening her skill set.
Her primary focus at Ryans Turf is increasing turf sales and driving new business growth, along with client liaison, after-sales service, marketing, and promotions. Jess also enjoys getting out on the farm as a farm hand — loading customers and assisting with day-to-day turf production.

Jess brings energy, positivity, and enthusiasm to the team and is excited to be building her career with Ryans Turf as the business continues to grow.

Josh Short
Turf Harvester & Farm Hand
Josh has been a valued member of the Ryans Turf team for nine years, playing a hands-on role in the day-to-day operations of the farm. As Turf Harvester and Farm Hand, Josh is responsible for cutting all turf for deliveries and farm pickups, loading customers, and maintaining the turf paddocks to ensure they are always in top condition.

Josh studied Livestock Nutrition at Ag College & worked at dairy farms in Quaama & Picton, then managed a Wagyu farm in Rose Valley before joining Ryans Turf.
He started back when the farm operated with an older model 2-person harvester where every roll was hand stacked — a testament to how much he has grown alongside the business. Josh now operates a state-of-the-art Brower 4000 Auto-Stacker, capable of harvesting 1700m2 per hour! Over the years, Josh has developed extensive skills and qualifications. He is trained in chemical application and holds licences for forklift operation and truck driving, making him a versatile and highly capable team member.
Josh loves life on the farm and takes great pride in his work. He is committed to ensuring every customer is well looked after and enjoys being part of the company’s continued growth and success.
Tim O'Connell
Turf Delivery Driver
Tim joined the Ryans Turf team in 2021, bringing with him over 20 years of truck driving experience. His career has ranged from working in the logging industry to more recent local and long-distance deliveries to Sydney and beyond.

Coming from a farming background, Tim grew up on sheep and cattle properties on the outskirts of Braidwood. Outside of work, he has a keen interest in his own Brahman cattle.
As our Turf Delivery Driver, Tim plays a vital role in ensuring customers receive their turf safely, efficiently, and on schedule. Known for going above and beyond, he is committed to providing exceptional customer service and always does his best to meet delivery timeframes. His fantastic work ethic, reliability, and hardworking nature make him a valued member of the team.
When he’s not out on deliveries, Tim keeps busy mowing and helping maintain the farm, ensuring everything looks neat and presentable. Dependable and dedicated, Tim is an essential part of our operations — we would be lost without him!

Trevor Robinson
Head Firewood Processor
Trevor joined the Ryans Turf team in 2017 following an impressive 40-year career in the forestry industry. Bringing a wealth of knowledge and hands-on experience, he stepped into the role of Head Firewood Processor and has been instrumental in meeting the growing demand for high-grade, spit-seasoned firewood across the Shoalhaven & Illawarra.
Trevor processes all logs on site, blocking and splitting using state-of-the-art wood processing machinery — although he started out with just a chainsaw when he first joined the team. His dedication and strong work ethic have helped streamline and grow the firewood side of the business.
In addition to firewood processing, Trevor aids the team in a variety of other farm duties. He loads customers, holds a forklift licence, drives the tipper trucks, and steps in as a landscape supplies & turf delivery driver when needed. Mechanically minded and highly capable, he also carries out general maintenance on farm machinery and vehicles, keeping operations running smoothly.

With decades of experience behind him, Trevor continues to be a steady and dependable force within the Ryans Turf team.
Bowen Smith
Apprentice (Sports Turf Manager)
Bowen joined the Ryans Turf team in September 2025 and has since begun his apprenticeship in Sports Turf Management. As part of his role, Bowen assists with turf production, including spraying, fertilising, mowing and irrigation, as well as helping with turf installations.

Before joining Ryans Turf, Bowen completed a pre-apprenticeship course in carpentry, but soon realised his passion lay outdoors and in the turf industry. Since starting with the team, he has achieved ChemCert accreditation, ensuring he is qualified to safely handle and apply chemicals on the farm.
Young, motivated, and eager to learn, Bowen is focused on completing his apprenticeship and building a long-term career with Ryans Turf. He is proud to be part of a growing business and looks forward to developing his skills within the industry.

Lucy
Head of Security & Morale Officer
Lucy joined the Ryans Turf team in 2024 and quickly became the most-loved team member. As the resident Blue Heeler, she takes her role in security and daily farm supervision very seriously — always keeping a watchful eye over the team, machinery, and visiting customers.
Lucy spends most of her days riding around the farm in the buggy, helping check paddocks and ensuring operations are running smoothly. Known for her loyal nature and boundless energy, she is rarely far from the action and is always ready to greet visitors or accompany the team during their daily tasks.
While Lucy may not operate machinery or manage accounts, she plays an important role in maintaining team morale. Her friendly personality and constant presence around the farm bring plenty of smiles to both staff and customers alike.
